Most Metal Card Ever

Firstly, Metalocalypse is a totally awesome show. It has wormed into my brain and refused to exit. IT IS SO AWESOME go watch it right now.

Secondly, this is a bday card for a fellow fan at work. The blackness is gel pen, the darkest medium of the blackest, most metalest card ever! Except if it were made of metal, then it would be even metaler.

It's Pickles the drummer! doodly doo doodly doo etc etc Man I love his accent. It's hilarious. He's supposed to be looking very drunk, his natural state, yesyes, because on the back of the card I'm going to write "I tried to make you a card but I was too drunk. Happy effin birthday" with my left hand so it looks all crappy. Wow, look at that run on sentence. Brilliant.

Anyway. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Made it darker in PS to get rid of the pencil lines. Turned a little grainy but the overall idea is apparent. The real life thing is better. Oh, and it's on this crazy textured cardboard I liberated from a box of filter papers at work. Sweet.

ps I think the secret to drawing Pickles is the nose. gotta get the nose right, then the hair, and everything else will fall into place
